Straight, white teeth

Everytime I see straight,white teeth, I'm always amazed, appreciating and wishing that I have the same straight, white teeth. My teeth are not straight at all and not white as snow either. My teeth has always been a frustration to me and my mother. My Mama has crooked teeth and so she tried her best for us to have straight teeth. I can still remember clearly that everytime we have loose tooth, she's already removing it even if it's still not right because she's scared that it might sprout in the wrong place if taken late. I always cry everytime she pulls my tooth away because it hurts a lot because it's not that soft yet. And the end result, I had a tooth sprouting crookedly despite her effort. So she's very disaapointed.

I used a retainer before to correct it, but the dentist says that I have to use braces to correct it, but my Mama cn't afford the braces. So I used the retainer instead and now my teeth are no longer that crooked, but it's not yet straight. Hopefully, I'm going to have braces when I stay longer in Pinas. I planned to have one on my vacation last year, but I don't have enough time.

Bee Movie

Harmful effect of the election

The Barangay election is finally over. Some are happy for their victory, while others are sad for their failure. But if there's one that feels very sad of the after effect of the election, it's Mother Nature, for all the garbages that the elections had left on the ground. I really appreciate Europe on their ways of posting banners during elections. I don't know if it applied to entire Europe, but it's what I experienced in Denmark. Candidates makes posters but they are not allowed to paste it in the wall or anywhere. There's a specified place where they can post them (example in the posts in the street), but they can't paste it there. They have to use a small rope to tie it in the post. And after the election, they are obliged to remove all the posters. So there's no postings on the wall that will take ages to remove them and the surroundings remain clean. I hope it will be like that in the Philippines.

The government has to make ways is lessening the gargabes after every election. But darn!I don't think this will happen because most politicians are busy corrupting and that they don't have time to make laws or think for the betterment of Mother Earth.grrrrrr,:(

A sore neck

I'm here blogging in my bed and having a sore neck on the left part. I just felt the pain this afternoon and I suspect that it was the result of the saturday night hard work during the 25th wedding anniversary of Nanay Lina and Tatay Benny. They are one of the CFC coordinators that I get to know in Mariaholm during the YFC Shout where I was part of the service team. And on saturday night, I was again part of the service team. Only 3 of us were left to help them til the end. I mean, until the hall got cleaned and the kitchen cleared. Ate Mabel, Paolo and I were busy cleaning the plates and other stuffs and it took as a long time because there were a lot of kitchen utensils to clean. The visitors were 300 people plus children. We were finally finished at 3 in the morning and we started working there at 11 in the morning. And I was exrting a lot of force in carrying the big casserole and other heavy stuffs. Thus, the pain in my left part of the neck since I'm left handed and I'm using my left and put a lot of force in it everytime I carry heavy things.

Hayyyy, I just hope that the pain will go away very soon!

Barangay elections update

Today, October 29, is the Barangay elections in the Philippines. And I had blogged about it in one of my posts few weeks ago. The youngest sibling and only brother of my Mother seeks reelection as a Barangay Captain in our place. I'm really excited for this date to come because I'm hoping for him to win on his last term. However, my brother sent me a text message about an hour ago, informing me that my Uncle was not victorious! Well, that's politics! Someone has to win and someone has to lose. Too bad and it's my uncle this time.

disappointment over former Pres. Estrada's Clemency

I was really disappointed upon reading for the very first time about Joseph Estrada's clemency in Jaycee's blog. A clemency that was given to the former President to cover up a scandal that the present President is involve. So upsetting! But I was not able to blog about it because I was in a hurry last Friday to be on time on the SFC teaching at 6pm.

I read more articles about the clemency in inquirer.net to analyze on things. And the result is the affirmation that Philippine government is getting worst with graft and corruption and that money is highly influential in our rotten political system. Very sad, but true!

Explosion in Glorietta 2

I already heard about the explotion on Friday coz I received a text message from a friend in Pinas saying that "Glorietta 2 was bombed". I also received an offline message in YM from a friend about a more detailed info of the blast. But I was not able to check because I was in a hurry after my general cleaning. I hurried to my friend's place (where my cousins were) because I still have to tour them to the ski jump.

I told my friends about the news, but we were not able to check it in the net because we were busy talking, singing and dancing on Friday night. So right after coming from Church for the 6 pm Mass (1 hour ago), so I finally checked on the net and was really so sad about the news.

The news I read at Inquirer.net that 9 people were killed and 119 were injured in the explosion on October 19, 2007 (Friday) in Glorietta 2 Mall at around 1:30 pm Philippine time. According to the news, the police initially suspected that the explosion was caused by an exploding cooking gas cylinder in a restaurant, but police sources later said that they found traces of plastic explosives at the site. They said the bomb was apparently left near a cell phone repair shop in Glorietta. Investigators said there were actually two explosions. The first rocked the delivery area of the Luk Yuen restaurant on the left side of the entrance to Glorietta 2. Seconds later, a smaller explosion rocked the right side of the entrance.

If the invetigators will find out that the explosion was another terrorism attacked, it's another major blow on our government and the implementation of security system. I hope that a final and official result of the explosion will be available as soon as possible.

My sincere condolences to the families of the 9 victims of the explosion and hope that the Good LORD will comfort them all the time. And may the 119 kababayans who are still in the hospitals will be cured very soon.

Hurrah!It's friday once again and I'm here in my friend's place,Ate Eves, with my cousins and my other friends are also coming here for the weekend.

We went to Holmenkollen, the ski jump here in Norway and we had fun while taking the hilly road up and we just walked all the way,hehehe. We are planning to go to the disco in the City but we still have to discuss it more. But my cousins are very excited and it's very timely because one of my cousins is celebrating her birthday today.

We prepared "pansit" and so I have to stop for a while to eat,hehehe.

Osteoarthritis

Healthwise, I have to be more cautious because my paternal family has several health conditions that might be hereditary and the very common are high blood pressure and arthritis. The possiblity of getting the mentioned health conditions is really high since most of the family members from my father side are having those condition, so I really have to be extra cautious.

Our family's health history triggered me to make some researches in the net about health in general and specific researches about high blood pressure and arthritis and the research is still a work in progress. I already learned few things about the them, but more are still to be learned. I found out that arthritis has several kinds and the most common is osteoarthritis, a condition in which low-grade inflammation results in pain in the joints, caused by wearing of the cartilage that covers and acts as a cushion inside joints. As the bone surfaces become less well protected by cartilage, the patient experiences pain upon weight bearing, including walking and standing. Due to decreased movement because of the pain, regional muscles may atrophy, and ligaments may become more lax.

I also read some articles about cure and preventions of the illnesses mentioned above and osteoarthritis relief was also discussed. It's really scary to think that I might have arthritis or high blood pressure later in life. But prevention is the best medicine, so I better prevent it before it will happen to me.

Update on the discrimination of Filipino doctors

I already posted an article about the discrimination of Filipino doctors in my other blog. The controversial discrimination issue, started in an episode of "Desperate Housewives" September 30 episode when one of the main characters in the teleseries commented something insulting about Philippine med schools. The exact lines were :

“Okay, before we go any further, can I check those diplomas? Cause I would just like to make sure they are not from some med school in the Philippines.” and here's the video from youtube:

Loans

Getting a loan is really difficult and frustrating and it's based from my Mother's experience. My experience in applying for a job abroad was never easy. We have to produce thousands for the placement fee and the problem was : we don't have money and very confused on how get the amount.

My mother had personal loans before since it's very common with teachers. So, she tried to apply for another loan, but she failed because she has to clear the old loans first before applying for a new one. We were already very confused on what to do. But of course, I can't blame the bank for not letting my mother get a new loan because it's really part of their rules and regulations. Banks are giving different loans to costumers such as car loans, secured homeowner loan, etc. But they also have to make sure that the money they're investing through loans will be secured. It's basically a give and take relationship.

Just a piece of advice to those who want to apply for loans, choose a bank that offers a low interest rate.

Telebisyon is back

Yeheyyyyyy, Telebisyon is finally back! It's the entertainment site where I watch pinoy teleseries and other filipino and english movies. But 3 weeks ago, telebisyon was down (I already blogged about it in my previous posts) and I was really bored and sad coz I don't have any form of entertainment anymore. My cousins are here

Hi everyone! I hope you had a great weekend! Just a little update for you. My 3 cousins who are working as au pairs in Denmark are here in my place for a visit. They have a 1 week autumn vacation and they'll be spending it with me! I'm soo happy because I won't be alone here in my apartment this week! But it also means that less blogging for me because I'm gonna spend most of my time making "chika2x" with them and touring them to the City or aynwhere else.

new look

Hi everyone!Just want to talk and brag about the new look of my blog,hehehe. Lastnight after babysitting, I made some researches in the net and expirementation about blog templates. I enjoy viewing different blog templates in different sites, but then everytime I attempt to use it into my blog, I always fail because the templates I want to use are in the XML format and don't know how to do it!Links are available on how to install it, but I didn't care to read.

Last night, I visited Blog Gone Wild and I saw templates that I want to use in my blogs. But it was in XML,so I was frustrated. But I still saved the templates and begun reading until I found a link on how to install the XML template into the blog. I felt a little bit of hope that I can install it alone and so I tried, but I failed. So I was really frustrated, but I read the article again and realized that there was one command I forgot to follow. I forgot to click upload after clicking browse and finding the right code.

So,I did the instruction once again and viola!!! the Desert Sunrise XML Skin was installed in my blog and I made it alone!! Hurrah, I was really in a state of euphoria lastnight because of my achievement!heheheh ang babaw ng kaligayan ko!The achievement may sound small to you, but it was BIG time for me!:)

The euphoria has given me an overflowing of energy and pushed me still to install a new template in my other blog. And so I followed the instructions once again and hurahhhhh I installed the Wildflowers 3 Column Blogger XML Template successfully!

Egg-shaped car

(Photo grabbed from Yahoo News).What a cool car! Japan's Nissan Motor Co. has revealed their new version of its egg-shaped Pivo concept car (Pivo 2) to the public on October 5 (Friday). The new car can drive sideways and has a small robot to assist with navigation or calm down angry drivers. Wowww Japan is really full of cool inventions!


The Pivo 2 has a three-seater electric car and wheels that can turn 90 degrees for easy parallel parking. It also has a cabin able to revolve 360 degrees, so there's no need to reverse.

And another cool and hi-tech feature of the Pivo 2 is the round-eyed robot head sitting on the dashboard with cameras that can tell when a driver is getting sleepy. "You look tired. There's a coffee shop 500 metres ahead on the left," it told a driver with drooping eyelids during a recent demonstration. Moreover, Pivo 2 can also nod or shake its head, helping to improve the mood of irate or glum drivers. Plus the car has "by-wire" technologies that use electric signals in the steering and braking.

The Pivo 2 will be exhibited at the Tokyo Motor Show near the capital from October 27.

I love PPP

Yes, it's really true!I love PPP. I've been a PPP postie for almost 4 months now. But this blog of mine has been a PPP postie for a month or so, and so far, so good! I really love PPP because they're helping me to earn extra bucks through blog marketing. Getting paid by doing one of the things I love, which is blogging!Isn't it great getting paid while blogging on topics that I love discussing? It's really great indeed! And a million thanks PPP! You always inspire me to make good in my blogging!

The first earning I got from PPP was spent as part of my travel allowance last July, when I went to Brussels, Belgium with my SFC Family to attend the 9th Singles For Christ European Conference. my 100th post and the barangay election

Yeheyyyyyy this is my 100th post for this blog! I just wanna talk about the upcoming barangay election here this coming October 29. I hope that it will turn out well and I do pray that my Tiyo (Mama's younger bro) will be re-elected as the Barangay Captain in our place.

There are rumors that he might not win anymore because he's so strict. Hmmmm, but I hope that the people will see the bright side of Tiyo's being strict because a lot of projects were made in our barangay since his term. I think all military men are just strict when it comes to rules and regulations!

3-in-1 birthday celebration

Wowww what a coincidence!A couple is having 3 children who celebrate their birthdays in just a day, October 2.

Jenna gave birth to her daughter, Kayla, on October 2 (tuesday). The same date as she gave birth to his son Ayden on 2003 and to his son Logan on 2006,also the same date.

A box for my family

I'm planning to send a balikbayan box for my family back home before my contract here ends October next year. I'm going to send some of my clothes here because I'll have an excess baggage if I will not do it. I also did the same thing in Denmark and in fact, I was able to send 2 boxes. But I'll be miswer now, so I'll cut it down to 1 box since the cost of sending it is so expensive here in Norway than in Denmark.

I started buying things to fill the box. I already bought some gadgets and things for the home and still planning to buy some more. I also bought clothes, but I have to buy more. I have a list of all the people that I'm going to buy something and I already checked some of the names (it means I already bought something for them), but I still have more buyings to make.

I'm also going to buy a lot of baby clothes for my 2 cutie nieces! I want to give them really nice clothes. I only have very few clothes (not sure if they were nice clothes at all) when I was still a baby since my parents can't afford to buy them, so now I want to give my nieces what I don't have when I was still their age.

My desktop background, is an old family photo and I love it very much because Papa is still with us. I want to see it everyday to remind me that I am so blessed to have a wonderul family. Even if Papa is no longer with us, but I know he's just around!

Rio Suites Hotel and Casino

My couple friends from Hawaii (who owned a Harley motorcycle) that I mentioned in my earlier post will be having a vacation next summer. And Ate Suwakks already mentioned it about me because it's the reason why she can't come home to the Philippines next summer. They will visit some friends in Michigan (if I am correct) and one of their destinations is the famous gambling place, Las Vegas. Ate Suwakks and her hubby are really workaholic. One time, I chatted with Ate and she told me that she's feeling very ill if she stays at home the whole day without working. Both of them are working in a hotel in Hawaii and they also have extra jobs. So next summer, they're going to unwind and relax and maybe they'll be staying at Rio Las Vegas during their stay in Vegas. Wowww, how I wish I will be with them because I also want to stay in Rio Las Vegas. I made a research in the net about the hotel and it's really one of the best places one can stay while in Vegas. The hotel facilities and services are really great.

Britney Spear's loses custody

I read at Yahoo News this morning that Britney loses custody of her 2 sons on October 1. The judge of the said case ordered the singer to turn over her children to ex-husband Kevin Federline until further notice, effective Wednesday. A lot of people hate Britney because of her behaviour, but a lot love her too. I'm not a Britney fan, but I petty her for losing custody of her children. It must be difficult for a mother, be it bad or good. And more difficult on the part of the children. The situation might affect them psychologically.
