Clooney's words against paparazzi

Goerge Clooney has spoken out against the tactics of paparazzi just to take celebrity pictures. Here's some of his words from the interview:

"In an interview to be screened by US television show "Entertainment Tonight" on Tuesday, Clooney said he sympathized with stars such as Britney Spears, citing a case where the singer ran a red-light while trailed by photographers.

"You look at the footage of Britney running the red light -- there's eight guys with cameras at night in the middle of the street. There are no rules now," the "Ocean's 13" and "Syriana" star told an interviewer.

"It's getting to a point where people that are not involved are getting hurt."

Aloha,

It was when I reached the tipping point. It was the photo of Jennifer Love-Hewitt which was nothing more than mean spirited. There was no redeeming value, no benefit... just pain.

So maybe that is the value of it. The one they don't get away with. This latest act of neglect to humanity by Paparazzi and the promoters of their trash struck me to the point of trying to do something. I haven't much experience in this, but it did make me try to experiment with websites and to build one. www.Paparazzi411.com

My hope is that it might be a place for people with like minds to devise a way for it to be curbed in the only way that is possible. For merchants to be accountable, for magazines and their advertisers to find it more profitable to not promote the trash than to promote it. It is really a fairly simple approach... to enlist the masses to stop spending their money on it.

I'd love it if you could take a look at it and if you had any thoughts on it, to let me know. I know it is just one small grain of sand on a very large beach... but maybe it is a start that could change the conversation to why do "we" provide the money that fuels it in the first place.

If nothing else, I think this latest expoitation at someone elses expense did start the kitchen table conversations. My wife and I had a good talk about values and goodwill toward men from it. She looked at the website and thought it positive. I thought Ms Love-Hewitt's response perfect. Afterall, it did spur me to spend my own money productively and dream about a different world.
